Thanksgiving was lovely this year. Headed to my parents' home and enjoyed a delish meal with lots of friends and family. Alex took the time to make gingerbread houses with the girls which was super cute. We also made Blessing Bags this year. We asked each family to bring 10-12 of an item (such as a comb or socks or soap). We then had the girls pack all these items into separate zip lock bags. Each family walked away with 3-4 bags for their cars. Now when we come across someone in need, these bags are available to pass out. It was a good way for the girls to learn about the true meaning of "giving thanks" on Thanksgiving.
