Yes, we went camping...in our backyard! June 28th marked the National Camp in your Backyard Day so we went for it. We haven't ever gone camping with the girls, so we thought this would be a good way to start. And, oh my, we had such a great time that we will probably make this an annual thing (at the minimum). We set up the tent and campfire and right away the girls were super into it.
Roasting hot dogs and s'mores is, of course, a must!
Even our kitty, Sasha, joined us. She slept in the tent, too!
As the sky darkened, we lit lanterns and glow sticks and had a jolly good time
hanging out on the hammock and being silly...
Everyone made it through the night in the tent!
Nothing like pancakes in your pj's after a night of camping.
Super fun...y'all should definitely try it!
